Pepper is a special dog to me, not only does he have a lot of love to give, but he makes a wonderful competetion friend. Being a competetion dog is not easy. Pepper has to stand for hours at a time while being scissored. He not only has to allow strange people to approach him and comb through his coat, but he must also behave on the grooming table while hundred's of people walk near him. Pepper must get up in the wee hours of the morning to be bathed and dried for the pregrooming. He sleeps in hotels and travels the road with me. He knows when its time to play and when to get down to business.
It's not only hard on Pepper and myself, but it is just as hard on his family. They have to get up early on their days off so Pepper and I can practice by keeping him clean and brushed. The hardest part for his family is allow Pepper to travel the road with me. Although they miss him very much, they still allow me to borrow him for competition..... and that's what makes Pepper and his family very special !
Second time in the ring and we get second!
